The trip included meetings with major medical supply distributors, a conference with a Kansai region distributor, and a visit to an animal hospital.
Meeting with Medical Supply Distributors
On May 27, 2024, OpenBio met with a major distributor that supplies medical consumables across Japan. The discussion focused on potential collaborations, especially in expanding the market for animal products. OpenBio’s O’Pet Care System was highlighted as a key player in this expansion.
Meeting with Kansai Region Distributor
On May 28, 2024, OpenBio met with a representative of a company that distributes animal equipment in the Kansai region. The discussion centered around various animal equipment and products.
Visit to an Animal Hospital
Later that afternoon, OpenBio visited an animal hospital and met with the head veterinarian. The veterinarian has been using VEMO Plus since November 2023. During this visit, a demonstration of the O’Pet Curv was conducted, showcasing its capabilities in measuring ECG and vital signs. Additionally, the monitoring and data storage/review processes using O’Pet LinkVue and O’Pet StationVue were demonstrated, showing how the system could be practically utilized in the hospital.
This trip confirmed that
OpenBio’s O’Pet Care System holds significant potential in the Japanese market. Future collaborations with distributors are planned to strengthen OpenBio’s presence in Japan’s animal product market.
